Be not many teachers

Being a teacher carries great responsibility (James 3:1). Not everyone who teaches is actually fulfilling their true role. The Bible says there will be a time when people will not endure sound doctrine. They heap upon themselves teachers who tell them what they want to hear. They have ears that itch for the latest scratch. And there are many willing to fill the demand.

There will be great rewards and great burdens if the task is taken seriously. Listeners must be wise to the fables out there and teachers must persevere when the tide seemingly overwhelms sanity.
