“A declaration of identity was once a declaration of responsibility” “Is it worth naming things? Might we be better served by making our knowledge, approaches and philosophies visible for others without naming them to adopt or not as they see fit?”
I find that people like to join groups. And be called something. To the extent that if you are not in a group you are nothing. People become dogmatic and self-righteous. They choose nouns and verbs to describe themselves but often fail to live up to the meaning or just change the meaning. I find that once they get a following, the groups become more interested in the following than why they started the group in the first place. Then under the umbrella of that group they start to accept ideals that no longer represent their original goals.
I do not really want to have a moniker. I want to be known by what I am , not by what I am called.
Revelation 2:17…to him that overcometh… I will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
