do no harm

I recently heard a first person account of a girl who survived a saline abortion in the 1970’s.  When she was “delivered” she was supposed to be dead.  The medical staff that administered the killing solution were then frantic to save the now living baby that they had for days tried to kill.

How are these two processes justified?
